Impact: During this outage, there will be no heat or ventilation in the building overnight on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The third-floor hallways and corridors will not have heating for the entire day on Saturday, Oct. 17. Heating will remain available in the labs and offices throughout the day. Those arriving at the building at or around 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, Sunday, Oct. 18 or Monday, Oct. 19 may notice slightly cooler temperatures, which will be corrected as heating is restored. Ventilation will be unavailable overnight from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Please note that any laboratory work with hazardous materials — including the use of fume hoods — is strictly prohibited for the duration of the outage.
