BIO: Alex Pavelka is an experienced project manager with a strong background in HVAC systems, infrastructure upgrades, and energy efficiency. At Georgetown University, Alex leads the planning and execution of major capital projects across campus, including mechanical system retrofits, campus-wide HVAC optimizations, and utility upgrades in support of the university’s sustainability and BEPS compliance goals. With hands-on experience in controls integration, steam-to-hot-water conversions, and VFD installations, Alex combines technical knowledge with strategic oversight to drive projects from concept through completion. He currently manages a diverse portfolio of multi-million-dollar initiatives across Georgetown’s historic and East Campus buildings, helping modernize operations and reduce environmental impact.
