A friendly reminder that tomorrow is International Car Free Day, and Georgetown University is participating in the annual Car Free Day College Campus Challenge. As part of our commitment to sustainability, Georgetown is competing in this competition between area schools to encourage students, faculty, and staff to go car free or car-lite for the day.

Last year, Georgetown University won the D.C. Campus Challenge for the second year in a row, with more than 800 members of our campus community taking the pledge! You can help Georgetown defend its title by pledging to go car free at www.CarFreeMetroDC.org using your georgetown.edu email address.

As a reminder, the school with the most pledges wins, and everyone who pledges automatically receives a Chipotle buy one get one free, and is entered for a chance to win raffle prizes such as Capital Bikeshare annual memberships, SmarTrip Cards loaded with fare, retail and restaurant gift cards, and more!
