BIO: David started working for UIS in 2002 as a fiber/copper infrastructure technician, specializing in the Corning Siecor MTRJ fiber to the desktop. Dave moved to the GU Team in 2004 for testing & inspection support, and to upgrade the networking of the Toye system, access controls, and Siemens fire alarm communications. Since then, Dave has designed and configured the fire alarm network and communication center fire alarm monitoring station. He has also helped manage handicapped door operators, maintain door access controls, and develop and design fire alarm systems’ inspection, testing, and maintenance.
David has worked on the following projects:
- Integration to the MTRJ fiber
- Repair communication pathways for Toye system
- Survey copper circuits for Siemens MXL FACP
- Conversion of Microsoft 98 fire alarm platform to the Siemens NCC Hnet hub configuration 2005
- Design and install fiber, copper circuits and protection bus for new communication center 2007
- Worked with facilities asst. director on handicap operator service contract
- Managed handicap operators and access controls repair and upgrades
- Build out new fire alarm shop 2021
- Create/manage yearly fire alarm system, sprinkler infrastructure, fire pump, and elevator inspection testing schedule
