2023 Energy Olympics
Energy Olympics is a competition to bring awareness to residential electricity consumption and to encourage more sustainable energy practices. Last year’s competition had two divisions, the First Year Division and the Upper Class Division. Prizes were awarded to residences that reduced their electricity consumption the most throughout the designated competition period. Stay tuned for 2024’s competition details.
2023 First Year Division
The first year division was from October 1st – 31st and included Copley, Darnall, Harbin, New South, and Reynolds (participants must register for EcoChallenge to be eligible). The residence hall that reduced their electricity consumption the most within the competition period won a What’s a Hoya Point.
2023 Upper Class Division
The upper class division was from October 10th – November 9th and included Alumni Square Apartments and townhouses. The top two units, one from Alumni Square and one from townhouses, that reduced their electrical consumption the most within the competition period won a pizza party for their unit.
