Energy Olympics

Energy Olympics is a competition to bring awareness to residential electricity consumption and to encourage more sustainable energy practices. This year’s pilot competition will have two divisions, the First Year Division and the Upper Class Division. Prizes will be awarded to residences that reduce their electricity consumption the most throughout the designated competition period.

First Year Division

The first year division is from October 1st – 31st and includes Copley, Darnall, Harbin, New South, and Reynolds who are competing to win a GUSA What’s A Hoya point (participants must register for EcoChallenge to be eligible). The residence hall that reduces their electricity consumption the most within the competition period will win. Check back every Tuesday for updates on standings below! 

Upper Class Division

The upper class division is from October 10th – November 9th and includes Alumni Square Apartments and townhouses who are competing to win a pizza party for their unit. The top two units, one from Alumni Square and one from townhouses, that reduce their electrical consumption the most within the competition period will win.
